Coffee Shop - a Learning Support Initiative

Balga SHS Learning Support Program initiated "Coffee Shop" in 2014 enabling students to gain skills in Barista, Customer Service, Financial Management, Ordering and Delivery. Orders are offered by students to staff and visitors twice a week and also for special events. Proceeds from the venture are donated to a worthwhile charitable organisation of the children's choice and presented at a special event.

The modelling of skills involved in running Coffee Shop give students valuable opportunities to embed these skills for future career pathways and also develop a community spirit of involvement and giving back to those in need.
